✧ First Impressions
The blandest man you have ever seen in your life. Seriously. The man gives off "don't notice me" vibes on a level that approaches invisibility. Baby-faced for a dude in his 50s, but (probably) clearly a lot older than the rest of the population. Perfectly normal human. If you look closely, there's a line behind his left ear that indicates where his memory chip can be accessed.

Simon Illyan has been the spymaster for three planets for the past 30+ years of his life! He's very good at reading people ... and also his minor wish gave him limited telepathy. So. I AM keeping the telepathy limited to vibes only (until social link improves and then we can talk about if you want him to get more!), but will generally let him have mild insights into any bracketed descriptions of emotions and thoughts as a default. I'll toss up a permissions post when he has more control of himself.
Aside from the wish-induced telepathy, Simon is a completely normal human ... except for the sci fi memory chip in his head. It gives him perfect visual/audio recall since he had it installed, which was around the age of 18. So, his entire adult life. Because Rho does not have a perfect memory chip (skill issue), it will be on the fritz in Pyrite, mostly due to all the fucking voices he hears now. Too much input = harder to sort through in-game memories. He will not like this either. Any games that require imperfect memory will absolutely mess with the chip too. And in general, I'll be monitoring its performance to see if it actually gives him an edge that needs to be nerfed. My take is that eidetic memory is something real people can have, so the nerf doesn't really apply here, but I'll dial it up or down (mostly down) as I get a sense for power levels. OH MAN if you wanna read the Vorkosigan Saga books, I cannot recommend them enough. There are multiple reading orders! I usually play Miles Vorkosigan, the problem child at the center of everything. Simon will be a totally different speed. I'm looking for most any CR, but probably low on romance (unless your character is really into older dudes??) and high on found family/platonic relationships. Please convince him to adopt lots of strays.
